Bio

Pastor, Lovely Haynes, was born in Grand Bayou, Louisiana, he accepted Christ at the age of 9.  He surrendered and accepted the call to the ministry in 1966.   

 

He is a Father and a Grandfather.


He is the Pastor of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church for 37 years. 


He is a member of Bethel Baptist Church of South Los Angeles. Dr. Reginald Pope, former pastor.


He holds an Associate in Arts Degree from Compton College. He also holds an Associates of Theology and a Bachelor of Theology from the California Missionary Baptist Seminary, Bellflower, California.  He attended Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California & Biola University in La Mirada, California. 


In 2004, Pastor Haynes began attending Faith Seminary in Tacoma, Washington where he received the following degrees: Master of Theology Studies; Master of Divinity, and Doctorate of Ministry.  


He served as Moderator of the Pacific District Missionary Baptist Association from 2000 to 2008.  He served as an instructor for the Bethany Christian Bible College. He served as First Vice President of the California Missionary Baptist State Convention. He served as Vice Moderator of Moderators of the National Missionary Baptist Convention.  He currently serves as Chairman of the Benevolent Commission of the National Missionary Baptist Convention.  


Dr. Lovely Haynes is a Compassionate, Prayerful, and Concerned Man of God whose ministry at the St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church extends beyond the local church to families, extended family members and friends throughout the community.
